The Fusion 360 Feedback Hub is your direct connection to our Product, UX, and Research teams. Your feedback, suggestions, and ideas are crucial to our development process, and this hub will help us include you in it. Members of the teams mentioned above will post here about features, improvements, and user experience. We'll use this forum for messaging, research studies, surveys, and previews.

Autodesk Staff:

Any Autodesk employee may create a post in the Feedback Hub. Posts should be specific to actionable projects, research studies, sentiment surveys, or other topics the staff member needs feedback on.

For detailed usage standards, please follow this link: https://share.autodesk.com/:p:/s/Fusion360GTM/EQkZ96tjjnZLoB2VC7buN1MBlcidhQ57i-2mATXemI2RSQ?e=r1T5v...

Product Managers: Any preview functionality in product should have a Feedback Hub post. Any new feature should have a post here. This is also a good venue to ask the community what their priorities are for fixes or new features.

Researchers: This forum is a good place to gain insight on customer experience, learning about personas, and general sentiment on the product.

User Experience: This forum is a good place to gain insight on customer experience, to gather feedback on current or possible future changes to the UI, or to ask the community what their priorities are for fixes or new features.

Other Autodesk Staff: You are welcome to use this forum to gather feedback on other aspects of Fusion 360 that don't fall into the categories listed above. Please contact @jodom4 if you'd like to make a post so we can make sure this is the right place for it.

General Community:

The general community is invited to browse the hub and comment on any post. The purpose of this forum is to gather feedback from you that will be seen by the people who can make decisions that will impact the product, and hopefully improve it to better suit your needs. The content here is targeted to aspects of Fusion that we're currently working on, which means that your feedback will have the most possible impact.

We are no longer accepting green fields ideas from the general community, and as such people who aren't employed by Autodesk cannot author posts here. For more information about why we made this decision and why we think it's the best one for everyone, please read our blog post announcement from 2019: https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/blog/fusion-360-roadmap-update-october-2019/#Introducin...

Helpful Link:

Please follow the link below for general info on using the forums.

Thanks for you help in improving Fusion 360!

In at least one of your pop-up info windows (the ones that appear when you hover over a data entry box in Manufacture mode) you have an incorrect use of the word "it's", when it should be "its". If you have this one error I'm sure you'd agree that there are probably more incidents of misuse that haven't been found/reported yet.

I'd tell you exactly which box it appeared in but I don't remember, and besides, what fun would that be? LOL Assign some poor internet to the job of reading through ALL tool tips (but make sure THEY know the correct usage of "it's" and "its" first, eh?

Maybe you don't care about trivial stuff like this, but in the off chance that you do, there you go. Great program, by the way, I love using it!

Thanks for the feedback! I completely care about trivial stuff like this! I found 9 different instances of "it's" being used incorrectly. Thanks for pointing them out.

It's been a month from the license buying and I'm still in trouble to get Fusion doing really basic stuff. I'm still doing my job in SW.
We are evaluating Fusion looking for a single software to handle our Machine shop needs but, no way... we still have to do our workflow in the same way: SW+Gibss CAM
As user 'jothamW25GE' said, Fusion 360 still can't handle some basic critical features as SW does.
I will add some more to the list:
I can't print a 1:1 drawing directly from Fusion.
I have to convert my drawings to PDF. This is a multiple-step procedure that requires 3rd party software and makes me lose time: Save as PDF, open acrobat, print.
Every CAD software is able to do that really quickly instead of a multiple-step procedure.
On the other hand, the Drawing Workspace and the Title Block Editor are a disaster:
In the Title Block Editor, I can't snap my lines to the grid, I neither can see the units of my lines (Inches or millimeters?).
Drawing tools are really limited (We must have almost the same sketching tools we have available in the Design Workspace).
I can't copy and paste an image (like our corporate logo).
I can't copy and paste an excel spreadsheet (Like a simple tolerance table).
I'm missing the dimension command to create some parametric lines in the Drawing Workspace.

Any chance to fix this?

Or... Can you pay attention to this idea?

What if dev guys get rid of the Drawing Workspace and instead of that they create a way to take some screenshots of the basic 3D views to compose the 2D documentation?
What I mean is:
Today, Fusion can turn on the 2D sketch and show the parametric dimensions. Why not create a special command to compose the 2D documentation directly from the 3D model? (Years ago, Autodesk tried to do that with Mechanical desktop, it was a good idea but I think the kernel of this software was not adequate).
Lastly, the final result can be printed directly in a PDF file...
(It's just an idea... instead of trying to mimic Inventor or SW; Fusion 360 dev guys could fuse 3D+2D and create a unique workflow different to any other CAD software...)
In our machine shop, we do this every time we need something really quick, instead of generating a formal blueprint and save a specific file with the 2D information.
We usually trick Gibs or SW to do that on the go... but is a multiple-step procedure because we have to snip the PC screen, copy and paste the image in Word and save as PDF...
Do you know what I mean?

Well, what a rant, from a few days ago saying how good it is!!

Well, it may not have all the "bells and whistles" but give it a chance to grow up, Fusion is only 6 years old, Solidworks is over 20 years old, would you seriously expect any six year old to be able to what a 20 year old big brother can do ?? No, of course not, nor should you. (It is Fusion 360 not Sheldon Cooper !!!)

As for the printing issue you are having in Drawing Mode if you go to "File>Print" Fusion will then print direct to any printer attached to the computer, very simple !!

Can`t "paste" an image eg Logo into the drawing ? Yes you can, again in Drawing Mode there is a Blue tab marked "Insert", click on that and it says "Image", click on that and select your image and it will be inserted in the drawing.

The same goes for Tables etc, just do a "screen grab" or the Windows "Snipping Tool" to create images and then insert as above.

Or you can just create your own custom table using the "Table" Tab.

There you go, at least a couple of your issues covered :):)

Regards

Rob

I think I'm in the right area for this - UI recommendations?  hopefully...

In the Design workspace - where you've got the four new "tabs" along the top of the ribbon - I keep seeing those "tabs" as column labels because there isn't any delineation between them and the selections beneath them.  It's especially confusing when editing a sketch.  Then it looks like there are two different tabs selected.

Thanks!

I just thought about a possible solution to the license changes. Obviously you don't want big companies making huge amounts of money with your software without getting a cut of it, but not every startup company is in any place to become the next SpaceX/Virgin Galactic/Blue Origin and many don't even want to be. Now it's pretty obvious you don't exactly just want to hand your licenses for free to every single small business that makes less than 100k a year, so maybe introduce a sort of "small business" license that's basically a paid version of the startup license at a lower price point than the enterprise license?

But what do I know? I'm just someone who needs more than what the personal use license offers, doesn't qualify for a startup license and can't afford an enterprise license.

Table driven parameters and multiple part iterations, as in Pro E/Creo. My previous employment had entire machine assy iterations derived from tables once the "base" design was established. From what I can tell, Fusion is not able to make a similar derived part with a minor change based on/linked to the original part, nor have multiple assy's with these iterations. Seems very germane to a professional work environment.

---Table driven cells on drawing sheet to capture design data in the drawing.

Weld symbols - really? How embarrassing to send out a weldment drawing that has no weld symbols.

ZERO ability to sketch in drawing mode for added part definition, manufacturing info, surface finish, etc.

Is there any Autodesk employee capable to solve Fusion 360 issues?
I don't accept unprofessional offensive excuses as somebody said before (Fusion 360 is just a 5 years old software!)
I'm following suggested solutions from guys on these forums and again, I'm confirming the drawing Workspace is a disaster. I'm really losing time trying to get a similar result compared to SW ...
There is no way to join two cells in a table!
Nor can the height of a row be reduced to fit text height. Take a look ...merge a cell.JPG

Heyo. Loving the new CAM tool library. Are there any plans on adding the ability to reorder feed/speeds templates?

I like to order them by material.

I forgot to add slotting templates and they will currently be added to the bottom:

- Time Magazine’s Person of the Year 2006
- Apple M1 Max rMBP A2485 // Latest MacOS // Latest Fusion
- Usually working off files uploaded to Fusion as: Step, STL, SLDPRT. If it matters ask me.

Forgot to add, have had many instances of the sketch solver being buggy. There isn't even a constraint solver tool.

Did I mention there's no "select other" tool either? It drives me nuts anyway I'm outa here. back to SW 🙂

I just discovered that CAM simulation can take place without the tool path traces so that you can see if every thing is cut properly. It may have been this way all along but I have never seen it used or even mentioned. it certainly beats machining a part and have some little annoying  bit of material that didn't get machined. The tool path traces are fine for trouble shooting but seeing the cut surfaces match the part as modeled is frankly pretty cool.

If this is new, thank you. If it was always available I guess it was a duh on my part.

Just wanted to say that I am loving using and learning Fusion 360. I am going to be launching a new machine shop this summer and was thinking of using Fusion 360, but I just cannot keep using a Windows computer as the operating system is the worst in the world.  Not sure what other options there are, but I hate to have to ditch Fusion just because there is no support for Linux. I am a long time Linux User, and would love to be able to use it with a stable OS like this.

It is funny how there is so little interest for software companies to make their products work for the Linux platform, yet according to the 2019 Stack Overflow Developer Survey done by 90,000 developers, Linux is the most loved platform @ 83.1%, and most worked on /developed  @ 53.3%. Windows only ranked 64% for most loved category, and 50% for most worked on /development. Obviously this shows that Linux is more populate platform then Windows, and I would bet this trend will continue with the general disdain for Windows 10.

So my feedback is to bring us Linux support.

Thanks!

I feel your pain. Yes, it was long time. I hate when I don't catch something what is "common knowledge"
Anyway, other useful thing is View Toolpath, right click on the operation. It gives you correct position of the tool  in XYZ... and line number, so you can work all before "crash line" (bcs of short shoulder and bigger shaft, let say)

I never used Linux. Even though know all about benefits.
It is a shame that Windows stupid feature like auto color change of file windows create File Explorer to behave erratically, and not hold cursor position?????????????????????
Bug was reported in 2015 and never fixed. IDIOTS

When I am selecting fillet edges or surfaces, the tool overloads the computer because it does not understand mouse speed. The tool seems to want to check every edge and surface on its way to the destination on the screen even though I am moving mouse fast. I think this is a UX improvement that should be included in all selections. If you could just recognize the mouse movement speed, the workflow on complex assemblies would be a lot easier to handle.

I have tried to limit the selections from the menu but it makes a little difference. Sometimes the software hangs up and sometimes it crashes during the operation. It looks like the more selections I have, the harder it is for the computer. I am working with a shell construction so the shapes and features might be too much for the tool in some cases.
