Trouble with title in drawings

Hi,

i have own custom title in Fusion 360. I save drawing. When I open drawing and I write new info, parametr in title, the attributes Number of drawings (Číslo výkresu) have now only 60-30 procent width, why?

Hi @tomas.mlcak,

Thanks for posting! I'm not too certain what is happening there, but it definitely seems like some unintended behavior. Right now, I'm in the process of trying to reproduce this on my machine, and will circle back here once I have something to share on that front, but in the meantime, would you be able to share your custom titleblock with me so I can test to see if the issue is isolated to your titleblock?

Thanks in advance for the information! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Cheers,

Mike Tessier

Hi,

I downloaded your title block and tried it out; the issue did not repro for me on first try. If you re-edit the attribute text and save, does that fix it?

We have a feature that looks at the overall length of the string, and the available space within the lines of the title block, and if it looks like the text is longer, it reduces the text width until it fits. Obviously in this case, the math (or boundary detection) is failing.

When I open your title block drawing in AutoCAD, the text style fonts for your two styles are ISOCPEUR. Is this the font you are using? If not, this could be an auto-substituted font, and it is possible our text compression algorithm is having trouble with your font.

Hey, I was able to reproduce the problem. Once the string needs to be narrowed, the width calculation is wrong. I will log a bug and get it fixed.

OK, I'll wait for the fix of the bug

It's currently any way to work around the bug?

The simplest workaround, based on some very quick testing, is to ensure your strings are short enough so that our code does not try to narrow them. Not a great solution, I know.

Is ISOCPEUR the font you are using? (I don't know if your font is being substituted when I open the drawing.) Another possible workaround is to change the font in your text styles to Arial, though I did not test this.

Hey Tomas

the problem seems to have been caused by the product you used to create your TitleBlock DWG file. We are working on a workaround to this problem, but may I ask which product you used to create the TitleBlock DWG file please?

Thanks in advance
