SVG image doesn't import correctly

I have an svg file that came from Illustrator. It is attached as ring.svg When I import it into Fusion 360, it's honked up (the outside circle is just wrong about 2 o'clock)--see Capture.JPG.  The problem shows up immediately...I'm not manipulating anything to cause it to do that or resizing it or anything. Would someone else take a look at it please. Oh, the svg image looks fine in Inkscape.

I can confirm what you are seeing. I'll investigate the issue and at least get it in front of the right person. In the meantime, you should be able to proceed by deleting that section of the curve and replacing it with a sketch arc. Sorry about this, but thanks for letting us know about it!

Thank you. That was a very easy fix. By the way, the person who provided the svg file first sent it to me as svg 1.1 (the version  in the attachment). He later sent me a 1.0 svg version. Interestingly, in the 1.0 svg version, it wasn't the outside line that blew up, it was the next line in that had the problem in the same area (at 2 o'clock).

On interesting. That might be helpful, thanks. By the way, I really like that design. 🙂
For internal reference I have logged an issue (FUS-32928).

Hey guys,

event though this post is old I am still having trouble importing SVGs. The problem is pretty similar to the one described here. I tried to find more info about FUS-32928, without luck).

Attached you'll find a (maybe familiar :)) outline as an SVG and two pictures showing the SVG rendered by my browser (Chrome) and after being imported into fusion (without any further steps taken).

The outline was generated with Illustrator and since I have lots of outlines coming in that way I would really like to streamline that process (Illustrator -> SVG Export -> Import to Fusion).

Any help is appreciated.

Regards

Soeren
