merge object so it can be 3D printed

How do I merge this object so it can be 3D printed complete. I'm stumped

Hello,

 

you simply have to combine them,

 

Go in MODEL workspace,

in Modify choose Combine

Select a Target body and the Tool body (for a Join it's not important who is who)

and Combine

 

now you have an unique body that can be printed without problems 😛

That's the first thing I tried ,it will not let me select the target bodies

How come I can't combine it on my machine?
Also have a look at the sliced results. It really didn't combine because you can see inside the tube there is parts of the intersection of the two bodies. It has to be just a clean exterior surface for my purpose

look this save, that what you want ?

 

export the file as STL in one unique body don't need to be joined

 

if it's good I explain you how to do

It doesn't work because I can only choose one of the bodies when I try it select it for 3D printing

i don't really understand how you want to use this for 3D print,

 

but the solution I use 100% of time, and it's the easier is on the browser clic on the main component and SAVE AS STL

it export all in one unique piece is you choose in Structure "One File"

 

I never use the 3D print option

Combine works like a charm. 

 

 

 
BTW: Your project looks very unusual. Because it's just unusual to me because I'm a beginner. But... how have you created it. No timeline, shell in the browser, etc. Have you imported it?

I still can't get the combined to work. This is imported as a igus, that's why there's no design history. The problem is the center web is intruding into the tube and I can't merge these. It shows up in the 3D print slicing. Look above

I did as you suggested and it doesn't work, it still comes in with the cylinder part interrupted by the web

Are the pipes in the final design hollow? Without bottom plates?

Okay so let's start over here's what I originally created.

I wanted to use Fusion 360 to put the twist in it but I'm not smart enough to know how to do that.  (So I exported it as I igus and twisted it in another program and brought it back in) 
I know how to use the create functions but I don't know how to combine this prior to going into create. I think I started out drawing it improperly  in the first place have a look

Here is a screen shoot of a section analysis on your part after combining.

-is the gap in the center flat section on purpose?

-did you intend to trim the flat part where it inters the tubes?

No it was a sloppy job and I don't know why the web is Hollow.

Yes I'm trying to figure out how to make the web terminate at the outside of the tube.
The purpose for this web is for support during 3D printing in the vase mode which means it has to be continuous printing around the outside Non-Stop.

Not having proper warping/twisting/bending tools in fusion is very frustrating.  It's definitely something many around here would like to see. (there is a work around using the sheet metal work space for bending, but I don't think it applies here)

Wow, thanks for the information ,I'm going to have to watch this multiple times .
I think that'll be a big help.

I know I'll get hate mail but the reason I initially save the file in Iges , was to take it to SolidWorks so I could twist and Bend

I think your safe.  There is a lot of frustration with the lack of tools that can be found in solidworks, and other programs.  A lot of work flows involve having to go between different programs.  Maybe if more people talk about SOLDWORKS in their post, Autodesk will take notice when it comes to improving fusion.
