joint icons far from joint

This file has one as-built joint, however the icon for it is way down at the origin. Can I move it? Or why is it so far in the first place?

This is as expected.  An As-Built Rigid Joint does not select any geometry.  It uses the origins of the two components to decide where to place the Joint icon.  In this case, both components' origins are the same as the global origin, so that is the only place where the icon could be located.  And, no, unfortunately, there is no way to move this icon today.
