Fusion 360 Won't open at all

I can't open up Fusion 360 at all.

Every time I try and click on the icon, my cursor would have a small downloading icon for a few seconds. Then, it would disappear.

I would appreciate it if anybody can help!

I have Norton 360. You want me to uninstall it before I use Reno Uninstaller to completely remove Fusion 360?

No, just disable Norton and run the installation again as administrator.

So I've temporary disabled Norton 360, and the Fusion 360 as administrator...and IT STILL won't let me install Fusion 360.

What now?

Restart your computer, disable Norton and try to install again.

For me simply disabling bitdefender antivirus 2017 free protection allows Fusion 360 to start. This is a problem now. Which program do I choose? Stupid web apps...

No problem here with Malwarebytes and have used the free Microsoft Security essentials software with no issues.

I am having continuous problems with FUSION 360 launching. Its never the same and sometimes i wind back the windows updates and sometimes i restart. I have trend micro internet security and i have to put it in mute mode everytime other wise it doesnt get past the landing page. I have updated graphic drivers and i have done the re-install, i have even bought a new HP Spectre computer as i thought it was the old HP not performing etc etc. This computer has the latest graphics supposedly the best but i still have this ongoing intermittent problem and it is driving me nuts!!!!!!!!!

I see on the net there are so many people reporting this problem but it is not being solved.

Can someone at FUSION 360, take notice of this signal and instead of modifying the program can you work on the fix for this problem?? ?

Hi @Lepard007,

First, we must figure out what causes the problem? If you disable the Antivirus, does it helps?

Cheers / Ben

I am having the same problem with Fusion 360  (On Windows Version 10.0.19041 Build 19041) .

Once i start it nothing happens, No dialog, No message, No windows event, the task just stops
I have tried

  1. Re-install
  2. Clean re-install (removing all %AppData%\AutoDesk folders on Local & Roaming)
  3. Disable antivirus

Nothing works!

Any help would be appreciated

Right-click on the EXE file and run it as Administrator. If that doesn't help, then you gonna need to do a system restore to a point in the past where F360 used to work.

Let me know if it helps!

Cheers / Ben.

Hello Ben.

I tried running the application as administrator same behaviour.
Application starts but is only visible as a process in task manager (no
view/dialogs).

Next, you should try is System Restore. This tutorial will help you with that: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-system-restore-windows-10

If you don't have a point to restore to, then you will have to reinstall windows!

It still fails.

Any other suggestions?

I am lost - you should have started a new thread.

Q1. What build of Windows OS are you running?
