Parts4CAD opens a new window with Fusion, then nothing...

Ugh!

I have an active sketch open.

I tried to insert a part from Parts4CAD.

I find the part, filled in the questions, clicked "to Autodesk Fusion"

The CAD file is made, then a new window opens with Fusion....and nothing.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanx

Hi @Anonymous,

I'm curious to see if this is related to the internet browser you are using. I just tested this workflow out and it seems okay to me. I did notice, that when I went to push the part into Fusion 360 from the pop-up website that came up, I got a message that popped up saying "External Protocol Request..... Launch Application?". Is it possible that this is not popping up for you or something along these lines? I'm using Google Chrome personally. Can you try to use a different internet browser and see if this works?

Thanks,

Hi-

Thanx for your reply.

I am using Firefox. The window does pop up and i set it to fusion launcher...the only option.

I will try chrome, then MS if that doesn't work.  Will let you know.

Hi @Anonymous,

Awesome, glad to hear! Let me know if it doesn't work. I am also curious to see if perhaps your firewall or anti-virus is preventing a web application from launching the software.

Thanks,

It works on Chrome but not on Firefox.  Not sure why not. In Firefox it opens a new window and opens Fusion 360.

Hi @Anonymous,

Hmm, very strange! Let me play around with this in FireFox, but I believe it is possible to do so. A few things you can test is whether or not opening a Private Window within Firefox and then using Parts4CAD work. If so then it is possible that it is tied into an Add-in/internet cache.

Thanks,

Nope. It just opens a new window, with Fusion, but doesn't insert part.
Again, Chrome, no problem. I just don't like Chrome

Hi @Anonymous,

I just tested on my Firefox and everything looks okay on my end. It must be something unique to your system. I am curious if there is an add-in or anything like that preventing it from working. My only other suggestion (besides using Chrome for this) is to just uninstall/reinstall Firefox to see if that helps.

Thanks,

Hiya did this ever get fixed.  I am having the same problem with Firefox Black screen and spinning Blue circle when I try to play a screen cast.
