request Base Map size increase

It would be nice to either have a larger base map size of 5 square miles preferably or the ability to add projects together to create a larger base map. This would be needed to help capture large university campuses, healthcare campuses, and data center campuses

Thanks for the input @aoffak! Bigger sites is something we consider regularly. The main reason we cap at 2x2 km today has to do with performance of the application. We regularly test at larger sizes to see what might be feasible, but the current limit is where we believe the sweet spot remains as of now. All this said, sharing you feedback, and knowing that 5 square miles is a possible waypoint is helpful.

The two of us already have an email thread going. If you are able to share any visuals of the types of projects you'd like to use Forma for, that would help inform our direction even more. Thanks! 🙂

As stated, we would love to use it on larger sites for university campuses to show impact adding new set of student housing dormitories, large data center master planning campuses, and possibly large industrial factory campuses. Attached is a data center campus example

I would also like to see a Base Map size increase please & 5km or even 3x3 km would be very useful for larger Area Master Planning, when its required.
How about an option/choice for those that need it? so not all base's are 5km.

I do love the initial preset map sizes & locked positions to site that can be spread across 2 identicle site setups..
If tere was a clickbox option to decrease / increase map size y 0.25 0.5 0.75 1.25 .1.5 1.75 2.00 etc... , rather than a dragable resizing, it would be great for consistancy.

Additionally, when we import the True North context to Revit, we then rotate our Project North, where context is lost and rotated beyond possibly crop oxes, or just when rowing in 3d space to my annoyance it is off axis to our site.. Possibly there could be an option to fix this rotataion inside Forma, or look into a circular import, rather than square.
