Scale Bar and North Arrow for Autodesk Forma

Hi team,

How can we add scale bar and north arrow to our Forma concepts? 

It would be extremely beneficial to add a scale bar function to floor plans, 2D and 3D views, this would improve an early stage concept documentation and accuracy, which would encourage our project teams to create their feasibility studies in Forma.

Hi there,
As far as i know, Adding a scale bar and north arrow to Forma designs would improve accuracy and professionalism in early stage concepts. While these features may not be built-in, you can manually add them or export your designs to tools like AutoCAD. Sharing this suggestion with Forma could also encourage future updates.

Followup: is the scale bar something of value only in exported images for documentation, or is it something you are hoping to make use of in other situations in Forma?

Hi @kasper.herlov, it would be extremely valuable to have those features in Forma. 

We have a couple of teams in our firm trying to work on their early concepts in Forma only and organize their presentation material on Forma Boards,  but not having scale bars and north arrow can be crucial when communicating the design rationale.
