We currently invest a significant amount of time creating takeoff types and markups to establish accurate quantity data during the estimating phase. However, once the project moves into execution, we often have to recreate the same structure manually in Assets to begin tracking progress—resulting in duplicated effort and a high risk of inconsistencies.
It would be a major efficiency gain if Takeoff could sync directly with Assets, allowing takeoff types, quantities, and associated markups to be pushed or linked into the Assets module for progress tracking. This would ensure a seamless transition from estimating to execution, maintain alignment between scoped quantities and tracked work, and significantly reduce manual re-entry. Ideally, this sync would also preserve metadata like classification systems, units of measure, and any custom attributes, enabling a more integrated and accurate tracking workflow across the project lifecycle.
