The client is requesting a feature that allows users to configure abbreviations/prefixes for RFI IDs, similar to the existing Submittals Spec Section setting.
Users should be able to preset the RFI prefixes in the settings. When creating a new RFI, the user can select the appropriate RFI prefix, which will remain fixed as the identifier prefix. The running number will then be automatically generated based on the selected RFI prefix.
For example:
RFI prefix: ARCH → ARCH-001, ARCH-002, ARCH-003
RFI prefix: MEP → MEP-001, MEP-002, MEP-003
This ensures that the running number corresponds to the selected RFI prefix and provides a consistent, configurable RFI numbering format.
