Within Data Management>Reviews
Our consultants legally are paid to write/comment on drawings/documents within Reviews.
Recently, one consultant left their company left literally hundreds of mark-ups/comments. Its that companies responsibility to then delete/unpublish them when the comments/mark-ups are fixed during the life cycle of drawings/documents right up to As Build stage - where it should be Status A with no comments.
As an admin, I have no legal right to delete/unpublish the comments and moreover, do not have the time to go into drawings/documents and decide whether or not comments are still relevant - this is not my job.
The ONLY option is to give admin rights to the consultants, which cannot be done, the fact that this is not an option is a huge oversight on Autodesk and we are now at a loss of what to do?
The whole project needs to carry on, and now consultants have to contact admins to delete 100s of comments at a time which is a huge waste of everyone's time.
Our construction project will be going on for 3 years, and consultants leave the projects or companies.
1. Having permissions for the consultant company to unpublish/delete comments from their organisation is the only way or
2. Giving the person who lefts rights to someone else in the company.
This cannot happen, but yet it is. Please can you re-think permissions/roles or access levels immediately so this nightmare will not happen.
