In UNIFI when a content request was submitted our admins would be emailed. Also, any changes to the status of the request would email the admins and the user who submitted the request. This feature helped our team coordinate work and provided users with updates related to their content.
Currently in Content Catalog admins have to manually refresh the webpage to see new requests.
