Need the ability in Insight Builder to join two data sets

As a company, we run a large number of relatively small projects.  Insight builder is a great start down that path for us.  Where are coming into challenges is that we cannot use more that one dataset in the same visualization.  An example:  We want a data quality report that shows all the projects that DO NOT have a schedule created yet.  The admin-projects data set contains all projects, but doesn't have the schedules.  The schedules data set only include the projects for which there is already a schedule.  As a result, there is no way to report projects without schedules.

If we could join any two data sets using project ID, the tool would be vastly more powerful, and a report like this would be easy to generate

There are so many things that seem simple that this would allow us to do.  For instance have a user, their company AND the company address.

Your best bet is to connect dataconnector to your PBI and link as many data sets as you want together in relationships.

Thanks for the feedback.  I agree, using PowerBI would certainly allow us to solve this. For our organization at least, the objective is using insight builder instead of PowerBI.  At least from my perspective, this is an either-or proposition.  If we switch have to PowerBI to get the functionality we need, then it would seem that Insight Builder becomes relatively useless.  There would not be little benefit to managing dashboards in 2 different platforms.  The play for Autodesk here is providing a tool that gets closer to PowerBI functionality without the cost and effort of setting up a separate PowerBI server.

Insightbuilder will never be a sophisticated reporting tool. It's more like a viewer windows set.
Something worth trying:
-Develop you customised and sophisticated report on PBI

-Then pull that PBI report into insightbuilder with partners card

@jfordU765V  We have this exact problem. Without the ability to cross-reference datasets in Insight Builder, it becomes a siloed tool that limits meaningful reporting. This doesn’t seem to be a limitation of Amazon Quick Sight (table joins are standard), which suggests it’s a restriction within Insight Builder itself. Enabling joins (e.g. on project ID) would significantly improve its usefulness.
