Improve Rich-Text Editor Formatting for Scope of Work and Contract Generation
Currently, when users copy and paste formatted text (such as numbered lists and indented paragraphs) from Microsoft Word into the Scope of Work editor in Autodesk Build’s Cost Management module, the formatting becomes inconsistent.
Fonts, font sizes, nested numbering, and paragraph alignment often change once pasted or when exporting the generated contract document.
Suggested Improvements:
Allow users to maintain Word-based formatting (fonts, indents, and nested numbering) when pasting into the Scope of Work rich-text editor.
Support at least three levels of nested numbering.
Add a “Clear Formatting” or “Match Template Formatting” button within the Scope of Work editor.
Ensure consistent appearance between the on-screen Scope of Work text and the generated Word contract export.
This improvement would greatly streamline contract preparation, minimize manual reformatting, and maintain consistent document standards across projects.
I’m having the same issues. In addition to the current formatting capabilities, it would also be helpful to add the ability to copy and paste strikethrough text and superscript formatting to better track revisions within SOW if necessary.
