Foremen use the Autodesk Build mobile app and BIM Viewer to locate field-installed assets. We would like the ability to select a BIM object that is linked to an asset and immediately access the full asset record within the BIM Viewer. This should include all asset attributes, custom fields, references, attached documents, and other related information. Currently, selecting an object only displays model properties and no asset details. It selects a piece of the asset and will not show the real asset as a family or one piece. Thus, requiring users to navigate to the Assets module and search for the asset separately. The desired workflow is: Select BIM Object in 3D Viewer → Click properties to Open Full Asset Record → Access References and Forms → Complete Tasks. This would reduce navigation, improve field productivity, and create a seamless BIM-to-asset workflow for foremen and commissioning teams.
