In addition to the BuildingConnected public subcontractor network, I would like the ability for a general contractor to maintain a separate, GC-managed private bidder database.
This private database would allow our company to:
Maintain and update our own contacts (emails, phone numbers, roles, etc.)
Track internal notes and performance feedback
Maintain preferred bidders and historical relationships
Control and curate our own data independently of the shared network
This would be a database owned and managed by the GC, not simply a filtered subset of the shared BuildingConnected network.
We would still want full access to the BuildingConnected network for discovery and outreach, but also have a dedicated internal bidder list that reflects our company’s real relationships and history.
For many GCs, this would significantly improve bid targeting, data accuracy, and long-term usability of the platform.
