Problem (one-line)
When extracting markups via Data Connector, it is unclear which source file (drawing or PDF) each markup belongs to.
Current limitation
The Data Connector output does not provide a clearly documented and reliable reference that uniquely identifies the original file (e.g., drawing or PDF) on which a markup was created. As a result, the relationship between a markup and its source file cannot be determined with confidence.
Business impact
This limitation makes reporting, auditing, and automation difficult. Teams must manually infer relationships between markups and files, which increases review time, operational cost, and the risk of mistakes—especially in projects with many drawings and revisions.
Requested improvement
Provide a clear and documented reference in Data Connector outputs (for example, a stable File ID or equivalent) that directly links each markup to its source file.
Optional example
If each markup record included a unique file identifier, downstream BI tools and automated workflows could reliably trace comments back to the correct drawing or PDF without manual intervention.
