Enable Replacing Naming Standards for Existing Directories that already contains files

Currently, ACC only allows you to remove a naming standard from a folder. However, it is not possible to assign a new naming standard to a directory that already contains files.

In project work, it often happens that a naming convention changes slightly and existing files need to be renamed to comply with the updated standard. At the moment, this process in ACC is very time-consuming and inefficient:

• A new empty folder has to be created

• All existing files must be manually moved into this new folder

• The files then need to be revalidated against the new naming standard

Proposed Improvement:
It would be extremely helpful if ACC allowed users to directly replace or update the naming standard of a folder, even when files are already stored within it.

This feature would:

• Save significant time during project work

• Reduce manual effort and the risk of errors

• Improve workflow efficiency for teams handling frequent naming standard updates

I believe this is being considered, I remember it spoken about at AU 2024 in one of the ACC roadmap workshops.

Oh yes please ... its really time consuming to do this manually. ACC is really lacking basic and creates hours of extra work for us Admins.

yes please! This is a huge and urgent issue on multiple projects, especially as the design changes design stages or even hands.

This would be really helpful. Especially imagine having projects that have a duration of 5 years or so. It is unrealistic to think nothing would ever change in attributes. Not only naming standard but also attributes that you can check as 'required' on a folder.
