Document Library allow PDFs

We would like the ability to upload PDFs to the Cost Management document library. We have several company-wide standard documents that should not be edited by general users. These documents are frequently reviewed by the legal team and must remain unchanged unless Legal has been notified and approves any modifications.

Allowing PDFs to be added to the document library would enable all team members creating subcontracts to easily include the latest approved versions. It would also serve as an efficient and controlled way to disseminate updated documents whenever they are revised by authorized individuals.

Sorry, not sure i follow. What is meant by "Cost Management document library"

Do you mean you want to store already generated/created items in the account level library where our excel and word document templates used for new generation are stored?

If so, that's like storing apples with oranges.

Our library based templates are not editable at a project level anyway, so what is the need to use PDFs and not word or excel which are already supported? What is their original format?

Idea is that there are fixed sections or exhibits of the subcontract that should not be editable by everyone and only changed after legal council has reviewed. By having these as PDFs that sit in document library, any person creating a subcontract can generate the project specific sections of word doc and attach the PDF portions that are necessary for all subcontracts but cant be edited. we can set up a time to talk if you would like.
