Disable automatic reading of Sheets disciplines

Most of the users using ACC will be likely to use ISO19650 naming convention which calls for the first part to differentiate the project name/number. However, ACC Sheets works on the basis that it takes the discipline automatically from the first part of the document name and presumes discipline is going to placed as the start of the document name, therefore, if your project does follow ISO19650 naming convention or any other naming convention that does not have discipline as the first part of the name, the Discipline will not work. If that wasn't bad enough, there is no way to change the discipline manually, therefore if your document name starts with a letter that is used in Designator disciplines, for instance MX5-XX............. it will automatically take M-Mechanical as a discipline because M usually stands for mechanical.

It is crucially needed from Autodesk to address this asap and enable changes by project admins for Discipline field, this way it is unusable.

You can change the designations within the Sheet Settings, Discipline, even the out of the box designations. Need to be a project admin to do so.

An even better idea is to have these Sheet Discipline settings within a Project Template, so these changes don't have to be done on every single project created!  Vote up this post: Sheet Disciplines - Autodesk Community

@DwaneL-FGMA Doesn't work since if a document name starts with a letter that's used within the designation, it will still take that first letter instead of the single letter that does actually differentiate the discipline in the name and that matches the discipline designation completely, it is worthless.

@lucija.resetar In your example of MX5-XX, is the X in MX5 always changing with the -XX? Or is that a constant for the 5 series sheets?  I don't know the ISO standards, just trying to understand what that first X does.
