I have made a custom drop down field for an area of folders share with internal and external stakeholders. I have to set the status of an complete folder or folder structure to prevent unnecessary clicking into the folder or folderstructure. The status shows the grade / progress of internal and furthermore external processing of the information contained in a set of files. Unfortunately the status field works only for files but not for folders. An external used MS sharepoint gives the option to flg the status of an folder by a agreed scheme of colors indicating several steps in the work flow. What can be done to allow tho implement a feature which shows or allows to set a custom status for folders?
