Building Connected Pro - Input Formulas on Bid Leveling Tab

When comparing bids on the Bid Leveling tab in Building Connected Pro, it would be beneficial to have the option to input a mathematical formula in any given pricing line item field on the bid form. For instance, if a bidder combines the price for two line items into one line item and leaves the other line item field blank, it would be nice to be able to input a formula (such as percentage) in both fields to quickly adjust the pricing breakdown to match the bid form. Currently, you would have to perform the calculations outside of the Building Connected Pro platform and then manually enter the adjusted prices in each field. It would be ideal if all calculations could be performed and recorded within the platform. Thanks!

Great point, Kyle. Since the native UI doesn't support formulas yet, we've seen teams leverage the ACC APIs to create a 'Managed Bridge.' This allows you to perform those 60/40 splits and math in a specialized environment and then automate the write-back to BuildingConnected. It solves the 're-keying' problem and keeps the audit trail clean

Description

Requesting the ability to do math inside of the cells/plug windows in the Bid Form.

A large part of the estimators job is to be able to quantify and multiply costs AND be able to follow the math/logic behind certain plugged values.

Business Case

Being able to do math (i.e. Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide) within the cells and plug windows on the Bid Form tab would communicate with transparency to fellow team members what/why/how items were plugged.
