BIM 4D - Show Construction Phase Timeline in Forma MC

BIM 4D - Show Construction Phase Timeline in Forma MC

Good day,

We would like to represent construction phases in our projects (BIM 4D). We believe this could be managed quite simply through two attributes assigned to each object: Construction Phase – Installation and Construction Phase – Demolition. Since we create many temporary structures in our projects, the demolition phase is also important.

These attributes could be assigned a date and time. Even better would be the option to link them to a value from a construction schedule, so that dates would not have to be updated individually in all objects whenever the schedule changes.

Essentially, it is a simple concept: objects should appear and disappear along a timeline according to their planned construction and demolition phases.

Could BIM 4D construction phase planning also be beneficial for other customers?

Do you have some sort of validation process of all these phases?
Consider using Forms. They have a due date and a completion date and available to use today

It seems that Forma MC is slowly inheriting features of Navisworks and making Navis obsolete. I expect it wont be long until the time liner or schedule linking is part of MC.

4D is something that we would use as well. Good request.
