The basic functionality would be to allow model transforms to apply on a per-view basis instead of globally.
The workflow I need supported is having a composite coordination view as well as wing/scope specific coordination views. When the wings/scopes have separate rotations from one another (e.g. an airport concourse) it's impossible to have both a composite model and a scope specific model where I can get reliable measurements in Navisworks due to the rotations of the models away from the orthogonal axes the measurement tool operates on. If I rotate to solve the scoped views I invariably break the composite view. The only workaround at this time is to have duplicate exports for viewing which immediately balloons into massive issues when multiple trade partners enter the picture, many of whom are not even working in Autodesk applications.
On a large healthcare project with 20–40 contributed models, requiring separate rotated publications for each wing doubles the number of published coordination models and creates unnecessary version-management overhead. The requested feature would eliminate duplicate publications while preserving accurate orthogonal measurement workflows.
