Currently, it is not possible to create a project template that already includes Bridge settings linked to a specific project.
According to Autodesk Support, Bridge is designed to operate only between existing individual projects, and project templates do not support any Bridge-related configuration at this time.
This limitation creates operational challenges, especially for organizations that:
- Repeatedly create similar projects (e.g., per client, per site, or per phase)
- Always need to connect new projects to a common reference or master project via Bridge
- Want to standardize project setup and reduce manual configuration work
At present, every time a new project is created from a template, Bridge must be manually configured after project creation. This increases setup time and introduces the risk of configuration mistakes or inconsistencies across projects.
Requested improvement:
Please consider enhancing project templates so that Bridge settings can be pre-configured, for example:
- Allowing a template to define a Bridge connection to a designated master or hub project
- Or allowing Bridge relationships to be automatically created when a project is generated from a template
This feature would significantly improve scalability, consistency, and efficiency for teams managing multiple ACC projects.
Thank you for considering this request.
