We are requesting the ability to take point-in-time Snapshots of Estimates within Forma Preconstruction. As estimates evolve through multiple revisions, teams need a reliable way to preserve prior versions for comparison, audit trails, and owner reporting — without duplicating or archiving entire projects manually.
Requested functionality:
- A "Snapshot" action available on any Estimate that captures the full state of the estimate at that moment
- Snapshots should be read-only and timestamped, with the ability to add a label or description (e.g., "GMP Submission – 4/15/2026")
- Side-by-side or delta comparison between snapshots and the current estimate
- Snapshots accessible from within the project without leaving the Preconstruction module
Version control is a fundamental need for estimating workflows, particularly on projects with phased deliverables or owner-driven scope changes.
