Description:
There is currently no provision in Autodesk Construction Cloud to incorporate a holiday calendar within the Reviews or Issues module. Due dates for review workflows are calculated without considering non-working days or holidays, which leads to inaccurate timelines.
Problem Statement:
In scenarios where holidays occur during an active review cycle:
- Due dates continue to run through holidays without adjustment
- This impacts review timelines and stakeholder responsiveness
- Users are required to manually update due dates
For organizations managing multiple projects and templates, this becomes highly inefficient.
Current Limitation:
- No automatic exclusion of holidays in due date calculations
- Manual effort required to update:
- Review templates across all projects
- Active/open reviews across projects
Expected Behavior:
The system should allow configuration of a holiday calendar that is automatically considered when calculating review due dates as provided in Schedule tool in Build.
Suggested Enhancement:
- Introduce a calendar setting
- Allow organizations to define:
- Public holidays
- Organization-specific non-working days
- Automatically adjust review due dates by excluding configured holidays
- Apply logic consistently across:
- Review templates
- Active/open reviews
- Option to customize calendars per region or project
Use Cases:
- Projects spanning regions with different holiday calendars
- Organizations with defined non-working days beyond public holidays
- Large-scale deployments with multiple concurrent review workflows
Additional Notes:
This feature would significantly improve efficiency for organizations handling multiple projects, ensuring that review processes remain realistic and aligned with actual working schedules.
