ACC BUILD - Forms automatically created from assets

Hi,

Creating quality forms to check on-site quality on equipments is a real nightmare on ACC and definitely a NO GO for me until something is done.

Say i have a building with 200 firedampers to check. I need to have a different form for each of them in order to check them independantly. Therefore, I created a template form for firedampers quality checks but in ACC, I have to click 200 times on the create form button to generate all the forms => tedious, annoying, not done in the end ...

Also, there is nothing done to link forms input with assets info, why ?! I cannot automatically recall the level (or name, or whichever parameter) of my firedampers in their own forms, I have to type it in a second time !

The process should be :

- Open Build,

- Define an asset called "firedamper" (or whatever is needed)

- Create all the assets automatically (already possible so that's fine)

- Attach a template form to the asset (already possible so that's fine)

- Generate one form per asset using the template attached (not possible so far ...)

- While generating the forms, link info from assets to the text fields in forms so they can be filled-in with the data that is already inside the assets.

Please do something for this, quick !

I'm upvoting this, I have a similar request if you could review mine and if you agree with it upvote it as well. This workflow can be greatly improved and they need to know this is what users want/need desperately. I provide visuals and at least 2 methods for which this could be accomplished. although mine leaves off the logic of trying to tie data fields from assets to data inside the forms, because that may be more difficult to implement.  @Florian_CHERMEUX8KDLX

I'm also noticing a lack of functionality when it comes to connecting Forms and Assets. In my situation, we have a list of assets that will be delivered to us. When we receive the asset, I'd like to be able to have one of my laborers fill out a Form and have it auto populate the corresponding asset. It would also be nice to have the reverse capability and be able to populate parts of the form with information from the Asset. 

This gives a little better idea of where I'm running into issues:

• We are accepting delivery of many different widgets.
• I have a list of the widgets that we'll be receiving to which I've created Assets for utilizing the information provided in our construction documents.
• When a widget arrives, we need to note several items such as: delivery date, acceptance status, serial number, nameplate data, etc. 
• I would like to be able to have a delivery acceptance Form for each Asset that will then populate the Asset fields using the Form fields. 
• The Form should be able to pull the next widget in the Asset list and auto-populate form fields based on the next available matching Asset.

This is a great feature idea, from all angles. I was thinking it would also be great to have forms attached to status sets. So when the status of an asset changes, it triggers a task to create a form. The trigger could occur at multiple status changes.
