Create Project Form - Allow More Project Information to be Captured

As an organisation that is made up of multiple sub-organisations across multiple portfolios and multiple projects, we need to be able to report on specific project information including:

  • Cost Centre
  • Division
  • Portfolio
  • Program

When creating a new Project in Autodesk Construction Cloud, is there a way we can capture this data?

This is information our Management Team would like to see in our Account Insights as this would be helpful with our resource reporting across all Projects.

Can it be included as optional data when creating a new project or be entered later under the Project Settings tool?

Pardon my ignorance if one of the Account Admin 'Library' tools can be used for this, my ACC learning is beginner level.

In addition, the 'Project Type' field in the 'Create Project' dialog is limited and does not represent the full scope of projects that we have. Can we add to the 'Project Type' metadata?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @kelamHRD3L

Thanks for sharing this suggestion. This type of enhancement request would be a great fit for the Construction Ideas forum, where the product teams actively review and prioritize customer-driven improvements.

There is an existing idea there already so I’d recommend posting this extra content there so it can gain visibility.

Thanks Jonathan,

I've added a post to the idea link you supplied.

Now that I have learned a little bit more about Autodesk, I think customising the 'Create Project' dialog is too difficult, so I suggested that the Project Settings can be returned to afterwards to enter customised attributes inherited from the Template selected. Hopefully this makes the idea more workable.
