I have a romi with Fanuc 21i-t and i am threading from curve. Need some help figuring why the thread starts at 5.75 dia instead of the 4.875 dia that it’s programmed at. The simulation shows it starting at the correct dia.

Have you checked the clearance amount in the thread attributes?  Also, what simulation are you using? Centerline or 3D?

Hi @Anonymous

I meant something else.
Is there a way to make a thread in FeatureCAM 2019 using curve as cross-section

Hi @Mikhail_Voronin,

Thanks for your contribution to Autodesk Forum.

You can either select a curve to define the cross-section (old behavior) or select a curve to define the path of the thread (new behavior). You can't select them both at the same time.

To create a thread from curve,  create a thread feature from dimensions and select a curve.

Thank You.
