When you draw this up is there a easy way to measure the .285. When you draw it you offset the line but don't know how to measure it easily. Also want to verify the length from the 2 points shown.IMG_20180726_085106.jpg

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for posting and welcome to the forum!

I have mocked up your drawing, and here is how I would tackle the two questions you raised.

1. How to measure the 0.285 distance

I would create a line at 90 degrees to the slanted line, using the point angle geometry creation tool. You can change the settings to "from line" rather than "from horizontal". Once you have this line, you can measure the distance between the intersections using the "linear distance" dimension tool.

2. How to check the total horizontal distance

This is the easier one. You can use a horizontal distance dimension and select the two points.

I hope this answers your query. Please let me know if this is not the case. If this post answers your question, please accept this post as a solution.

Hi @spencer.hardcastle,

Will you check if there are a wish to the develop team to measure paralle line not vertical or horizontal?

Cheers,
