excel setup sheet

Has anyone else come across this when trying to open the excel setup sheet in the template folder, the template for html will work but not excel?

Just to get the most obvious of things out of the way first - you have Excel installed, right?

This could simply be permissions related, as permissions issues are the most common issues regarding add-ins. If that is the case, then closing FeatureCAM, right-clicking it, and selecting Run as Administrator should straighten it out. It may also be worth 'browsing' directly to the default template again.

Let me know if none of that works.

Yes i have got excel installed but it was the first thing I checked when it didn't open.

I always run featurecam in administrator mode, but did click on it again to make sure and I am still getting the same error message.

OK, a few other things to check:

1. Might be worth unloading/reloading the add-in, as this is the easiest of these options.
2. Check if you are using a 64-bit version of excel. I believe you need the 32-bit version...at least I know you need 32 for MSAcess databases. If you have the 64-bit, there is a redistributable you can download to resolve the issue. 
3. Try a clean uninstall and reinstall of FC.

If none of those work, LMK. I imagine one of them will.

1 tried reinstalling the addin still no change

2 I,m using a 64 bit version but I did try to output setup sheet on 2017 on another computer using 64 bit excel and it worked, where can I download the redistributable you mentioned?

3 downloaded 2021 and tried it on that still getting the same error
