I just recently upgraded my AutoCAD and Inventor to the 2025 versions (from the 2024 versions). I uninstalled all of my 2024 versions of Autodesk products including FDU. After the download, I noticed that the Factory ribbon was not there, so I needed to re-install FDU. When I tried to do this, it gave me an error and said I lacked the host software for this.
Now, if I had to assume, it is because FDU 2024 is not compatible with CAD/Inventor 2025. My question is, do I just go back to the 2024 versions or is there something else I should do? When will a FDU 2025 be released?
Thanks!
well yea the 2024 factory tools will not work 2025
if you need use them then you need to reinstall the 2024 products

Hey,
did you check your install using the Autodesk licencing support tool? It´s pretty handy whenever you nee to check the status of you installed products. It´s also great to diagnose your suites status. And you can revoke licences for remainders of installed products, which might help in your case.
In our case, removing of the 2021 version worked only in parts and my collleague had a 2021 FDU listed with an active licence for no reason.
Kind regards
Daniel
You can click your signed in user´s picture and choose "products and services". You´ll find any actively licenced product listed there. The links are right there too.
