In CAMduct, when you are using "Quick Takeoff" to enter in fittings, and you have "Individual Quantities" selected under the "Takeoff" menu. This lets you takeoff identical items, as separate line items, by entering a number within the "Qty" field.
This feature could be improved if there was an option to keep the same item number (instead of incrementing the number for every additional qty). The parts are obviously identical, and most users prefer that the same piece of duct retains the same item number. This would save time, since you would not have to use the "Duplicate Items" option, or run a particular script to fix this issue. The more that can be correct at the "Quick Takeoff" level, the more accurate the end result will be.
Solution:
In the attached picture you will notice I proposed this change be located under the "Takeoff" Menu.
Another solution:
Have a check-box next to the "Qty" field under the "Quick Takeoff" menu, that would toggle this setting on and off.
