License Error

ksoylugil
Observer
Observer

Hello,

Im being prompted with the following pop up:

License Error

The License manager is not functioning or is improperly installed. AutoCAD will shut down now.

ADLSDK_STATUS_AUTH_PENDING

1:[IDSDK] 3005: The SSO client object acquired is invalid or null.

With numerous attempts at trying to resolve with 'live chat'  specialists, i have not had any luck. Super frustrated with how there is a lack of support for students.

Hi @ksoylugil,

Can you try the following steps:

  1. Connect into your Autodesk Account and go into "Product Updates."
  2. Download and install the latest Autodesk Desktop Licensing Service Update.
Note. You can also refer to Autodesk Licensing Service Updates for the latest version. Detailed instructions on how to install the update are highlighted on the corresponding page.
  1. Download and install the latest Autodesk Single Sign On Component (AdSSO) for Autodesk product versions 2020 to 2023 and Autodesk Identity Manager component update for product versions 2024 and beyond.
  2. Start and sign in into the Desktop App.
  3. Start AutoCAD again.

Please let me know if those steps work or if you have any further questions,

All the best,

Hi Leo,

Unfortunately this is not working for me. When on the Autodesk Access app, it will not allow me to sign in(I would press sign in with nothing happening).

That didn't fix the problem, instead, it keeps on showing up the same error. Not able to sign in.

Hi @ricky_koijam,

I understand that this installation process has not gone as smoothly as normal and I really appreciate your persistence with seeing this too the end. Fortunately we are making progress as the error has changed, which we fortunately have a support article for. The cause is likely remnants of previous installations or a missing documents folder, either way a step by step guide is provided to help you validate each issue.

I hope this helps and I look forward to hearing from you,

Hi @ricky_koijam,

Has the error changed or is the error code still 4000? Any further screenshots would be appreciated and helpful in identifying the issue.

Other potential causes could include the licensing component or ODIS -  steps to fix these components can be found here.

Hi @ricky_koijam,

Thank you for the screenshots. Given that this error persists despite the recommended solutions, can you share the installation log files so I can look at what is going on in the background? We have instructions on how to do this here, which also include a download to a tool that automatically collects the files for you.

I look forward to hearing from you,
