Settings get overridden when launching new instance of Eagle

I have 2 issues.

First, in the control panel, I added a directory containing my scripts in Options->Directories, but when I launch a new instance of Eagle, it reverts back to the default value.

Secondly, I created a .scr file with my assigned commands. I call this file from eagle.scr and made sure that the line calling the default-assign.scr was commented, but when I launch a new instance of Eagle, some of my assigned commands get overridden by the default ones.

Any idea how to fix this?

Hello @antoine.cimonfortier8J2D2,

I hope you're doing well. To address the first issue try this, make the changes you want to make to the directories and then in any of the editors go File > Save All... that makes sure the eaglerc gets written. When you restart EAGLE does the setting stick?

In regards to the second issue, what commands are getting overwritten? There are some shortcuts that have been grabbed by the developers and can't be re-assigned. Make sure that you are modifying the eagle.scr file that is inside the Documents directory > eagle folder on your machine.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Save all did it for the directories. As for the assigned commands, one that gets overridden is Ctrl+t which I use to call a script to display the top layers. It gets assigned to TEXT.

Hello @antoine.cimonfortier8J2D2,

I hope you're doing well. As far as I know that one has not been grabbed by the developers for anything.

Which eagle.scr did you modify? The one that has priority is the one in the documents folder. The other one in examples is just that an example. Make sure to modify the one in your documents folder.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
