I am trying to recreate an old pc board of ours that I need Gerbers for our board house. I have scanned an old mylar plot of the silkscreen layer , saved it as a pdf then made a dxf of it from AutoCad. When I try to import it into Eagle (which I admit is older - version 6.6) I get this pop-up:
Can't open 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Eagle 6.6.0) import-dxf.scr"
Permission denied
I don't have that .scr anywhere.
Hello @neelie2,
I hope you're doing well. This error usually means that there was a permissions issue. Where do you have the files stored?
Just as a test try saving the files to the documents folder and then running the import-dxf.ulp.
Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
Best Regards,
Hi Jorge, Thanks for the prompt response. I think I have many problems other than that. I did try as you suggested but with no success. Is there a way to correspond with you other than through the forum? I have many other EAGLE related questions specific to my account (which I have to say has gotten extremely confusing since Cadsoft days). I am not even certain which version I can run anymore.
Thank you and if you could just email me directly that would be great!
