EAGLE 6.6.0 - design link does not work

Hello everyone,

I am actually facing an issue with the design link option. I would like to use the possibility to have access to the element14 server link, but I have got the following error message:

"Error while accessing 'https://api.element14.com/pffind/services/SearchService':

2 Connection closed"

I have here EAGLE 6.6.0 version.

Does anybody know about that issue, I am in Switzerland and I would like to use Farnell link in Swiss as well.

Hi @Anonymous,

I hope you're doing well. That version of EAGLE using a now unsupported TLS library, the Farnell servers have moved on from that version as well due to security vulnerabilities and it is likely that is the reason that it doesn't work.

Unfortunately, there is no fix or workaround for this so at this time I can only recommend to update or if that's not possible working through the element14 site directly or using something like findchips or octopart.
