Hello,
I have been using the new licensed version of Eagle (8.4.3 currently) since it came out and have been happy with many of the improvements, however many of my coworkers who do less PCB design are still using 7.7 as we only have a single license of 8.x. We have found an issue today when sharing a common library (which has had a number of parts added in my 8.x version) with a 7.7 version. When the library was updated (Library -> Update...) Eagle crashed, it is difficult to tell exactly what caused this, however a dialog box appeared mentioning the "unknown attribute 'keepoldvectorfont'" which most likely has something to do with it. We have attempted this a number of times now and have had the same result each time, we are running eagle 7.7 on Windows 10 64-bit.
Being able to update, share and modify a common library between these versions is absolutely critical to our ability to continue using Eagle as our CAD software.
Can anyone please provide insight how we can recover from our current situation.
Thanks,
Chad
