Hello,
Thank you all for your participation in this forum. I've been able to learn a lot about dynamic blocks, and I've searched a lot but have not found an answer to this dynamic block problem I am trying to solve.
I have created a trapezoid shape that has adjustable heights on both sides, as well as an adjustable width. In addition, I want this trapezoid to have a frame of a specified distance that can be adjustable as well.
I was unable to achieve this using the traditional parameters and action sets, so I attempted to create this by using the parametric constraints.
Although I've created this shape that does what I want it to do, the block tells me that it is unconstrained. However, every time I attempt to constrain some aspect of it, it interferes with the way I want the block to function.
My question is twofold:
1) Do you have any suggestions as to how I can fully constrain my block, while allowing it to perform as it currently does?
2) Do you know how to create this block using the conventional parameter and action sets? I could not for the life of me figure out how to get the frame to behave properly with the changing angles.
I'm using AutoCad 2014.
Thank you very much.
