Stretch & Array Help

I'm trying to create a block to help layout a privacy fence.

It needs to be able to stretch until it reaches 8' then array and then start stretching again.

Is this possible?

I've attached a drawing showing a basic layout of a fence. It does not contain a block what so ever.

Thank you @h_s_walker, that gave me an idea.

I've tried to use what you did and build upon that, but I cant get the chain properties to work.

You need to make the "array length" parameter 8' so that when your normal length stretches past 8' it will array.

Also you need to add the array parameters to the stretch action.

Two more things.

One. You cannot array an object in multiple directions, so I've added arrays to all the other directions.

Two. I've added a solid true white hatch inside the fence post to hide the line when it appears in the fence post.

See the attached drawing.
