Hi everyone,
I'm voluntarily managing a company's Autocad/block library and there is an issue I can't seem to find help with on the forums.
I understand blocks will revert if you copy/paste a block into a drawing where the block already exists. I'm assuming this is due to 1 of the 2 blocks having updates that the other block doesn't have.
The only solution I can come up with is creating a revision process for each block modified. Then when it is inserted into a set of drawings where the old revised block is, it won't be redefined/ reverted to an original state because there will be a different revisions labeled in the name. Is there an easier way to deal with this? We constantly are updating these blocks and is becoming a serious issue.
Thank you,
Larry
