Project dynamic block to profile view

Is this possible? We can project blocks to a profile view, but what about dynamic blocks that retain their attributes within the profile view?

I see no way of doing so. When you project a block, it loses its dynamic attributes within the profile view. What I've been doing instead is projecting the block using a projection style that only shows a small "x" in the profile view, and then manually inserting a dynamic block on top of that x. This is time consuming, and if your original block moves, you have to remember to move the manually inserted block as well.

9 years later I'm looking to do the same thing. But alas, seems like it doesn't work. I've found nothing online so I'll do the same reach-around approach and manually insert the block onto my projected symbol.

Can you post sample dwg and the procedure you are using?

Oi, I'm just moving a simple dynamic block (a flag pole where the flag can swap sides) up to the road surface, and then projecting that block to the profile. And the dynamic function is gone once it moves to the surface.

Are you suggesting I link an entire drawing or post up a picture?

Just a sample dwg is all that's needed. A surface with the problem block inserted. Something that demonstrates the problem.

There's the drawing. The block is the simple flag in the big yellow circle. I would move that to the surface of as close to the alignment on Laurier St, Move Blocks to Surface, and then Project Objects to Profile View. I would then use Standard for my Projection Style, and None for my Label Style.

Thanks for looking into this, Ed.

It appears that you are using C3D, which I didn't catch before. I don't use C3D. I don't have a way to research it. But maybe someone else who uses C3D can help.
