Negative value on stretch paramter

I have an instance where I need to make the parameter go less than zero. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I am working on a block that uses elevations. The block raises or lowers wetlands. Wetlands can be above zero (this instance has them at 2.5 feet elevation, but normally they are below zero).

The stretch parameter will not let you use a negative value. But I would like to keep the wetlands related to the zero elevation allowing the elevation to be entered on the properties palette.

Thanks.

Could you post the block?  or even a pic?  otherwise we're guessing blind.

A guess would be to move the beginning point of the parameter such that it never goes to zero.

Mark, Thanks for the reply. Sorry it took a while to get back to you.

I was just putting together the explanation of how the block works and why I needed this feature, when I think I found the problem.

My block has visibility states for when there are wetlands under my pier and when there are no wetlands. I think the change I need is to add the wetlands to above the zero mark for when they are shown (as the wetlands are above zero) and leave the current instance as it is for when there are no wetlands (as the bottom of the water is below zero).

If I find I am wrong about this, I will get back to this thread. For now lets call it resolved.
