MAKING THE OBJECTS IN CENTER OF DYNAMIC BLOCKS

Hi guys!

Can you help me out on my Dynamic Block.  I am currently developing this Door Dynamic Block.  I will be attaching the file so feel free to do look into it.  But please let me know the process on how you solve the problem.  I am really eager to learn more about the process of Dynamic blocks.

1.  My problems is that I want to make the Door Eye Viewer always on center of the Door Clear Width  but i do not know how to make it possible.

2.  Is there a way that i can make the door stretch with increments for both the X axis and Y axis.  Currently what i did is i have to stretch both the X and Y axis.  I was wondering if there is a way to do it both in on stretch.

Thank you in advance.

Regards

Arch A.

I can't get the arc working properly, but the other stuff was easy.

I deleted your door height parameter and added everything to the clear width.

There is a move parameter with a multiplier of 0.5 which keeps the door eye viewer central in the clear gap.

There is a stretch parameter added with an angle of 90 which stretches the door.

There is a move parameter with a multiplier of 0.5 and an angle of 90which keeps the door eye viewer central in the door.

I've updated my previous attachment. The arc now works as it should

Your arc scaling is still a little off.  The reason for the discrepancy is that the governing parameter is larger than the radius of the arc so scaling introduces a small but noticeable error.  The solution is a chained parameter for controlling the scale.

Hi hwalker,

I have looked into the CAD that you did and it works perfectly!  I also learned 2 things with your reply and now I will try to apply to the dynamic blocks that I am currently planning to do.  I hope if I can ask you again for some dynamic issues i will be having. FYI Left handed here as well!

Thanks a lot. Much appreciated.
