How can I create a WAVE Dynamic Block?

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello guys,

I would like to create a "wave" dynamic block, see below...

It is made from wipeout.

Is it chance to make a similar?

If I make a list for the length (from 125 to 350), after can I make a table /list /summary where these size are shown?

Please help me if you can!

Thank you!
T

An Array Action will do this for you.

Just repeat the section of pipe.

Need a primer or just want to try and ask?

Hey Charles,

Thank you for the model.

I made the same, but what about if I would not a whole wave?

If I would like a 135 long it draws a 150 long wave... 😞

So, it draws always a whole wave...

Is it possible to do a model which draws exact long what I need?

You can do that way

Building on what Juris posted you would need to set a Distance Maximum distance for the Parameter that controls the Array.

THANK YOU GUYS!

close to perfect! 🙂

can I give the length of the center line, and it draws XY waves to reach the end of centerline -is it possible somehow?

it is ok, if I can give 25mm steps...

Yes and no.

Arrays will be dependent on the Parameter that controls these.

If that Parameter is not the same as the one that controls the center line then there may be a length difference

Though to go back to Juris' that should be able to happen.

How long do you want the Centerline?

A little more to build on thought his does not move the segments individually as I would like.

the shortest is 125mm and the longest is 350mm.

between 125 and 350 I need every 25mm.

it will be 10 blocks without dynamic block...

I would like to make it from wipeout as well.

But I dont understand some things in the dynamic block.

Could you give me a guide, which step what means?

1. about line - it isn`t line, it means, that for some linear parameter is define min and max distance

2. sign after distance means that that parameter are chained to another - You can switch it on for any parameter in property window for that parameter

Understand!
It is working with wipeout as well. 🙂

Just one more thing:

The center line does not seem above 125mm.

the wipeout covers it.

what can I do? how can I send back the wipeout, which will be above 125mm.

(in the block editor I sent back the wipeouts, but what about which will be if the center line will be longer?)

I don't know solution for this problem

I think the new wipeouts made by array is "new" objects and threfore is above the "oldest" line ...

I think the same.

I tried everything, but the wipeout is above...

All the same!

It is good!

Thank you for your help one more time!
