Forcing a padding between text and polyline

Hello! I am wondering if I am able to add a parameter that would change the width of my polyline to always have the same padding around the text inside of it?

Nope.  Changes to text cannot automatically drive changes to any parameters.

You can access MTEXT's text frame parameter from the Properties panel. With that turned on you can add a frame around the text. The frame offset can be controlled by the background mask parameter. A bit tricky, check the checkbox, set the offset factor then uncheck the mask checkbox.
