Dynamic Flag Pole

Hello everyone,

I am trying to make a block similar to a flag pole. I cant use visibility for this as sometimes the user will have to manually input information for custom projects.

I need to change the height of the pole, the distance that the flag is from the top of the pole and the size of the flag.

Changing the flag size and distance from top is working fine. They are chained.

I am struggling when trying to change the pole height with stretch/move.

What I am missing?

Thanks!!!!

You don't need all those constraints in the block, just STRETCH and MOVE parameters will work, and you don't need to chain the parameters together. See the attached drawing.

I was under the impression that all the selection was going to be stretched, need to revise my knowledge of the stretch action.

This really simplifies what I am doing. Thank you very much.

It would be better if I could see your flag pole by myself, but I would say that you don’t need hose constraints (they will put too much pressure on the block). Theoretically, it should work by you just moving your parameters… Oh, and you might as well add a solar flag pole light? I bought mine on Amazon. It really do light up the whole flag ! It work automatically (it turns off in the morning and turns on in the evening due to its light detector). Thanks to this, I never had to worry about setting up the electric connections and the wires. It’s solar powered by the way, which makes it a lot better!
