Dynamic Elbow

Dear Users

i have created a dynamic elbow (See attachment) i need to add a control to be able to modify the size of the elbow (outer radius) while maintaining the small radius constant and the edge (color 8 line) values

can someone give it a try, it seems that i'm stuck.

Here's a fairly complicated version that eliminates the constraints.  While it is complicated there are a few dynamic block concepts that are worth learning that are demonstrated nicely in this block.  See attached.

Here's a constraints version that seems solid.  See attached.

thank you very much

both your blocks are perfect, i will try to reverse engineer your solution maybe i can try to understand your approach

thanks again!

Here's a screencast of the step-by-step for the constraints version.  It is considerably simpler than the dynamic parameters/actions but I prefer using dynamic actions/parameters as their behavior is more consistent.  Dynamic parameter/action version screencast will follow.

i would like to thank you again i just did what you showed me in screencast! it worked perfectly

the construction lines were very helpful and the way you split the line into 3 segments to be able to constraint the edges was a great solution,

thank you a lot for your help.

Best Regards

Hi,
How to maintain relationship of width of elbow with radius of the arc
Eg. R=W
R=W/2

"Revit Lies in the tension between what we want to do and what can be done!"

Sujan are you trying to ask a question or make a statement?  In either case, I don't know what you are trying to say.

dynamic_elbow.pngdynamic_elbow.pngMaintaing relationship between radius of arch and width of the elbow.I kind of figured out .Is there a solution with a associative hatch and rotation grip now?
